Minor in Project Management

The Minor in Project Management is open to all students in the A.J. Clark School of Engineering that have earned at least 60 credit hours and have a GPA of 3.0 or higher. If you wish to enroll download the application from the link below. Submit the form signed by your adviser along with an academic transcript and resume to Dr. Qingbin Cui of the Project Management faculty at Cui@umd.edu. The admission process takes several weeks to complete. To be awarded the Minor, undergraduate students should complete the five following courses, or approved alternatives, with a grade “C” or higher:

  • ENCE 320 Introduction to Engineering Project Management
  • ENCE 421 Legal Aspects of Engineering Practice
  • ENCE 422 Project Cost Accounting & Economics,
  • ENCE 423 Introduction to Project Scheduling 
  • ENCE 424 Communications for Project Managers

Two of the five courses can count toward the students major but the other three must be in addition to the requirements for the major. There is no major in the area of project management for undergraduates.
