fbpx Entering Project Management with a non-engineering background | University of Maryland Project Management

My brother is a Construction Systems Management major at a large research institution similar to UMD. In his experience there he has interned in the construction industry, specifically in project management. Through  his internships and job placement, he has gained experience in estimating, surveying, and mechanical systems. He also has an Ag Business minor, which has helped him meet the minimum math requirements for the program.

Students like my brother would benefit from the Master of Engineering (MEng) or Graduate Certificate of Engineering (GCEN) in Project Management because it would build on their prior experience in project management and enhance the construction industry through graduate level education.

It is important not to automatically disqualify yourself based on your educational background!
