Students in the Project Management Center for Excellence take full advantage of the world-class resources that the University has to offer.
Students access on-campus software through the engineering information technology virtual computer lab. In other words: access valuable software applications without the overhead of licencing and installation — from anywhere.
We have teamed with edX to develop a series of online professional certificates that empower project management professionals with the tools they need to succeed in today's workplace. Each of the certificates (listed below) consists of five or six individual online courses. These courses were designed to be asynchronous which allows individuals to sign up and start the courses when they want and at their own pace.
All courses have audit versions to try out before buying.
Successful completion of all course requirements earns students 10 PDUs per course. For a small fee, edX and UMD will issue a Verified Certificate which provides proof for an employer, school or other institution that the course was successfully completed by the student.

This event is DC’s premier Project Management Symposium. In our two-day event, the Symposium features keynote speakers and over 30 individual sessions in five (5) concurrent tracks. Attendees include project management professionals from all over the United States and the world representing a variety of backgrounds including government, non-profits, industry and academia. Speakers present on trending topics, best practices, lessons learned and case studies.
