About Qianli

Shally likes building quantitative models and playing with numbers.

Qianli Deng (Shally) is a Ph.D. candidate in the project management program at the Civil and Environmental Engineering Department. Her research interests mainly focus on assessing the engineering infrastructure risks using probabilistic modeling and Monte Carlo simulation. Before joining the Ph.D. program, Shally held dual M.S. degrees in civil engineering and statistics. Her dissertation is about evaluating overtopping risks of dam-reservoir systems using the efficient importance sampling technique.
